We’ve been here at JP Nagar for quite a while now. The building is at number 70 on Vithaldas Road. Most days it’s just us dealing with cars and the people who drive them. Some mornings start slow but by noon the workshop is usually full. You can hear the tools clanking and the engines humming from the street. It gets a bit dusty with all the traffic outside. We spend most of our time looking under hoods or filling out stacks of paperwork that never seems to end. The guys in the back have oil on their uniforms most of the time. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular motor business. We have a few chairs for people to sit while they wait. Sometimes the tea guy comes around twice if we are lucky. It’s just how things go here. We handle the sales side of things too, mostly just showing folks what’s available on the floor. The lights stay on pretty late most evenings because there is always something left to finish. Usually, one of us is locking up around eight or nine. The floor needs a good sweep every night but we do not always get to it. It is what it is. If you pass by Vithaldas Road, you’ll see the sign. It’s been there for years. We just keep doing what we do every day without making a big fuss about it.
