Siri Silks Jewels

We are tucked away in Malleswaram, specifically at 15th, 1st Cross. If you know Malleswaram, you know it is a place full of old traditions and lots of shoppers, especially during the festival seasons. Our shop deals with silks and some jewelry pieces. It is a nice combination because people usually look for both at the same time. The shop isn't huge, but we have enough space to show the sarees. We spend a lot of time folding and unfolding silk fabrics, making sure the pleats stay right. The jewelry is kept in the glass cases near the front. On some days, the 1st Cross gets really busy with people walking to the nearby temples or the market. We have a lot of regular customers who have been coming to us for years. They like that we are in a familiar spot. We don't do much in terms of advertising; people just find us or hear about us from their neighbors. The smell of incense from the street often drifts in, which is quite pleasant. We open up early and keep things running until the evening. It is just a local shop where we help people find something nice to wear for a wedding or a puja. We enjoy being part of the Malleswaram community because it feels like everyone knows everyone else.
