Finding us isn't too hard since we're right near Coles Park on Saunders Road. We are up on the second floor of building number 11. Frazer Town has changed a lot over the years, but we’ve stayed put. Managing diabetes is what we do all day. It’s a lot of checking blood sugar and talking to people about what they ate. The stairs up to the second floor can be a bit much for some, but once you’re inside, it’s a calm place. We don't have a big fancy reception. Just some chairs and a desk where we keep the files. Being near the park is nice because it’s a good landmark. Most patients have been coming to us for years. We know their names and their family histories. It’s not just about the medicine; it’s about the routine. We talk about diet a lot, which is hard in a place with so much good food around here. The nurses are local and they know how to handle the busy morning rush. We see a lot of older folks who just want someone to listen to them. It gets a bit noisy from the street traffic sometimes, but we’re used to it. The office has big windows that look out toward the trees near the park. We keep some old magazines in the waiting area. Everyone just talks to each other. We focus on the practical side of things, like how to use the testing kits properly.
