Mahaveer Eye Hospital Project Drusti is tucked away behind Natraj Talkies on Sirur Park Road. Being behind the theater means it is a little quieter than being right on the main street. The address is number two slash two, so we are right next to the other hospital building. A lot of people know Natraj Talkies as a landmark, so we just tell them to go behind it. This specific project focuses on a lot of community work and eye care for people who might not usually go to a big hospital. The office has a very practical feel with lots of desks and charts on the walls. We have a lot of people coming in for screenings throughout the week. The building itself is older and has that solid, traditional look. You might hear some muffled sounds from the theater area occasionally, but mostly it is just the sound of the staff talking to patients. We have a small area where we keep the records and a few rooms for the eye doctors to do their work. The furniture is simple and we keep the place organized so we can find what we need quickly. It feels like a small community here because we see many of the same faces. We just do our daily tasks and try to help people see a bit better than they did when they walked in.
