Over at No. 420/A, 6th Main, 12th Cross in Mahalakshmipuram, that’s where you’ll find the Swift Elevators crew. It’s a regular building in a busy part of the neighborhood. Inside, it’s mostly just stacks of metal cables, control panels, and various motor parts. We aren't the type to sit behind desks all day. Most of us are either out on a site or here in the shop checking on parts. The air usually smells like grease and cold metal. We have a small area where we keep the records, but mostly it’s just a workshop. Mahalakshmipuram is a good spot for us, though parking the service vans can be a real pain some days. We’ve been at it for a while, so we know the local streets like the back of our hand. When a call comes in about a lift being stuck or making a weird noise, things get moving pretty quick. We don't spend much time on fancy talk; we just grab the toolkits and head out. Some of the equipment we work on is old, and some is brand new, so there is always something different to look at. It’s a tiring job, often involving a lot of stairs when the elevators aren't working, but it’s what we do for a living.
