Madura Garments Exports Ltd(Aditya Birla Group)

Madura Garments Exports Ltd is part of the Aditya Birla Group, but here on the ground at 4th Cross in Bangalore, it just feels like a busy factory. Our address is Hn66/2, and we are right in the thick of the industrial side of Karnataka. The building is always humming with the sound of sewing machines and people moving bundles of fabric from one floor to another. It is a fast-paced environment because there is always an export deadline looming over us. We don't have time for a lot of corporate talk; we just focus on the patterns and the stitching. The 4th Cross area is filled with other similar units, so there's a constant flow of workers and delivery vans. Sometimes the power goes out and everything stops, which gives us a few minutes of quiet before the generators kick in. We have a lot of people working here, all trying to make sure the work is okay before the clothes get packed into shipping containers. It can get pretty cramped with all the boxes stacked up in the hallways. We just try to keep the lines moving and make sure everyone knows what they are supposed to be doing. It is hard work, standing on your feet for most of the shift, but it’s what we do. We are just one of many places in Bangalore contributing to the garment trade, and we have been at this Hn66/2 spot for quite some time now.
