Madhusudhana & Co.

We are based at 501 on Bannerghatta Road. It’s a high building and we are up on one of the floors. The traffic outside is always a mess, you can hear the horns even from up here. We do professional work, mostly keeping books and handling financial things for local shops. It’s a lot of sitting at desks and looking at numbers on screens. We have stacks of paper everywhere, despite trying to go digital. The office is a bit small for all of us, so it gets a little crowded during tax season. We drink a lot of coffee to stay awake during the long afternoons. Most of our clients have been with us since we started. They know to just come up the stairs and knock. We don't have a fancy sign or a lobby. It’s just a couple of rooms with some filing cabinets and computers. Sometimes the elevator breaks down and we have to walk up, which is a bit of a workout. We try to stay organized, but sometimes the desk gets buried in folders. It’s a steady kind of work. We aren't trying to be the biggest firm; we just want to get the numbers right for the people who trust us. It’s a quiet environment inside, which helps with the focus needed for this kind of job. Madhusudhana & Co. is a plain and simple office space.
