Being based in Bangalore means things are always moving fast around us. Our team at Maclellan Intergrated Facility Management India Limited is right in the middle of it all. Even though the city is huge and sometimes feels a bit impersonal, we try to keep our office feeling like a local shop. We aren't interested in the flashy corporate culture that you see in the tech parks. We are more about the hands-on side of things. We have a lot of different people coming and going, coordinating maintenance and keeping buildings running like they should. It’s a lot of logistical work, but we enjoy the challenge. Our desks are usually covered in schedules and phone numbers. We don't have a fancy mission statement on the wall; we just have a list of things that need to be finished by Friday. It’s a practical way to run a business. We focus on being reliable so that people don't have to worry about the facilities we look after. It’s not always glamorous, and sometimes we are dealing with leaks or broken AC units at odd hours, but that is the job. We are just regular people working hard in a busy city. We try to be fair and do a good day’s work for a fair day’s pay. That’s how we've always done it here in Karnataka, and we don't plan on changing how we operate any time soon.
