Even though the name says M N Dastur Company P Ltd Kolkata, this particular office is actually down in Bangalore. We are located at House No 9, Vaishakh, on 11th Main, 2nd Cross. This is in Bhuvaneswari Nagar, which falls under the RT Nagar post office, zip code 560032. It’s a bit of a mouthful of an address, but it’s where we are every day. The office is essentially a converted house, which gives it a more personal feel than a sterile office park. We have rooms dedicated to different tasks, and there’s always someone in the kitchen making tea or coffee. RT Nagar is a busy area, so there is always noise from the street, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We’re not here to win any design awards for our workspace. It’s mostly just shelves full of documents, some desks that have seen better days, and a lot of power strips. We focus on the work we need to finish rather than how the office looks. Being the "Kolkata" branch in Bangalore is just one of those things that happened, and we don't think about it much. We just show up, do what needs doing, and head home when the sun goes down. It’s a practical, no-nonsense environment for a team that has a lot of ground to cover.
