Lookin For Job

This is our little spot in Madihalli Village, way out in the Alur Taluk area of Hassan. It's mostly quiet around here, surrounded by green fields and the usual village sounds of birds and tractors. We are situated near the Kundoor Post, so the postman always knows where to find us. The office is basically just a simple room where we keep track of things. We focus on helping folks find work, which is why we call it Lookin For Job. Life in the village moves at its own pace, so we don't rush around like they do in the big cities like Bangalore. Most of the people coming in are neighbors or friends from the nearby settlements. We spend a lot of time talking to local businesses and farmers to see who needs an extra hand for the season or a more permanent role. Sometimes the internet is slow or the power goes out, so we do things the old-fashioned way with paper and pens. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so the ceiling fan is always running on high. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy, just a wooden door that stays open most of the day. It’s a simple setup, run by local people who understand what it’s like to live and work in Hassan. We usually close up early if there isn't much going on. It’s just a small local effort to help the community get some steady income whenever possible.
