Larsen&Toubro Ltd,Ecc Division

This is the RMC-10 yard located out in Devanahalli. We are situated on Survey Numbers 160/1, 160/2, and 160/3 in the Kasaba Hobli area. It is a pretty dusty place most of the time because of all the concrete work and the heavy trucks coming in and out of the gate. If you are looking for us, you will find us right where the heavy machinery is parked. It is a big plot of land. We spend most of our time outside in the yard or in the small office sheds we have set up. Bangalore is growing so fast these days, and we are just a part of that growth, I suppose. The work here is hard and the hours can get quite long depending on the schedule. We do not have any fancy furniture or air-conditioned lobbies. We have heavy work boots and safety gear instead. The sun beats down on the yard all day long. We have to make sure the concrete mixes are right and the trucks leave on their routes on time. It takes a lot of coordination between the staff. Sometimes equipment breaks down and we have to scramble to fix it. It is just how it goes in this line of work. We are not trying to impress anyone with a nice-looking office. Our real office is where the machines are running. The guys work together pretty well. We eat our lunch under the shade of the trees when we can. It’s a straightforward life.
