Larsen & Toupro

If you find yourself on East Mosque Street in Shencottah, you’ll find us at number 18. This is where Larsen & Toupro has its presence in the Tirunelveli district. It’s a quiet enough street most of the time, tucked away in Tamilnadu. We aren’t a massive corporate office with glass walls. Instead, we work out of a practical building that fits right into the local area. The pace of life here is a bit different than the big cities, but the work we do is just as important. We handle various construction and engineering tasks from this office. A lot of our day involves talking to local suppliers and making sure the materials are moving to the right locations. Being in Shencottah means we are close to the border, and we see people coming through all the time. Our team is small, mostly locals who know the area well. We don’t spend much on advertising or fancy furniture. We’d rather just get the paperwork done so the guys on the ground can keep working. Sometimes it gets really hot, and we have to slow down a little, but the work never really stops. It’s an honest way to make a living, and we’ve been at it for a while now. We appreciate the neighbors and the local shops nearby that keep us fed and caffeinated during the long shifts. It’s just how we operate around here, nothing more and nothing less for us.
