Lane Markers

We are Lane Markers over here at Plot 17 in Ramamurthy Nagar, just a short walk from Narayan School. Most of our days are spent out on the asphalt, making sure lines are straight and visible for drivers. It is a simple job in some ways, but it takes a lot of patience to get the paint right and wait for it to dry properly. Our small crew has been working around the 8th Main area for a while now. We keep our equipment in the shop on 4th Cross and head out early before the traffic gets too heavy. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, but we just wait for a clear sky and get back to it. It’s mostly just us and the machines, making sure parking lots and roads look decent. We don’t have a big fancy office or a lot of people sitting at desks. It’s just a workspace where we store our supplies and plan out the next day’s route. We’ve seen this neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. People around here know us as the guys who are always wearing reflective vests and carrying measuring tapes. We don't really do much besides the marking work, but it keeps us busy enough throughout the week. If you pass by Hayasala Nagar, you might see our trucks parked outside while we load up the white and yellow paint drums for the morning shift. It's usually a long day but we don't mind it at all.
