If you’re looking for Lakshmi Nirman, we are over at 14, Lavi Illam. It’s right near Kavery Convent on the 1St Cross of Vp Road in Madiwala. Bangalore traffic is something else, so getting here in the morning can be a bit of a headache for the staff, but once we’re inside the office, things settle down. Madiwala is always crowded and noisy, but our little corner is a bit more manageable. The building isn't new, but it serves us well for what we need to do. We usually have the windows open to catch a breeze, though mostly you just hear the motorbikes zooming past. The office has a few desks, some chairs that have been here since we started, and stacks of files that we really should organize better. We spend most of our day talking to people or checking on project details. There’s a small shop nearby where we grab coffee in the afternoon when the energy starts to dip. Sometimes the rains make the street outside a bit muddy, but we’ve gotten used to that over the years. It’s a simple operation we have here. No big corporate meetings or flashy lobby, just a handful of us working at Lavi Illam. We try to keep things moving along without making too much of a fuss. It’s a busy neighborhood, but we like being right in the middle of it all.
