Down here at Plot 276 in Peenya, it gets pretty loud. We are Lakhotia Beltings and we’ve been operating in the 4th Phase for a while. If you know this part of the industrial area, you know it’s mostly just factories and trucks blocking the roads. Our place isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a standard building with the name painted on. Inside, we deal with all sorts of industrial belts. It’s greasy work sometimes and the smell of rubber is something you just get used to after the first week. My hands are usually a bit dirty by lunch. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that, just a few of us who know how these belts are supposed to fit. Most of our day is spent looking at orders and making sure the right sizes get sent out. Sometimes the power cuts out and we just take a break until it comes back on. Peenya is a busy place, but we like it because everything we need is nearby. We keep the kettle going for tea and there's always a stack of old newspapers in the corner of the office. It’s a practical setup. We don’t do fancy presentations. If someone needs a belt, they call us or stop by the 4th Main. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. It is just a normal factory day for us.
