Our shop, Labdhi Paints And Hardware, is at number 18 in Yeshwantpur. We are specifically over in Vardhaman Nagar on Dr R P Road. If you know where the Bombay Dying place is, we are right near there. It’s a busy street with a lot of noise and people moving about. Inside the shop, we have stacks of paint cans and rows of hardware tools everywhere. It’s a bit cramped because we try to keep a lot of stock on hand for the locals. You might find some dust on the shelves, but that’s just how it goes in a hardware store. We spend our days mixing colors and helping people find the right size of screw or a specific type of wrench. We don’t have a big corporate team, just a couple of us who know where the hammer is kept. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook while we are helping a customer, so we have to juggle things. Vardhaman Nagar is a good place for a shop like ours because there is always some construction or repair work happening nearby. We see the same faces quite often. We’ve been at this location on Dr R P Road for quite a while now. It’s not a shiny showroom, just a practical place to get what you need for your house. We just open up, sweep the floor, and wait for the first person to walk in and tell us what they are fixing.
