Our office is tucked away in the Vijaya Complex over at Vakil Market in Chakkarpur. We are on the first floor, at No 6. The market is always crowded, especially in the evenings, so it’s quite a lively place to be for work. You can hear the vendors and the shoppers from our window all day long. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit narrow, so you have to be careful if you’re carrying anything heavy like our equipment. Inside, it’s mostly just desks and a lot of wires and bits of hardware lying around because of the automation work we do. It’s not the most organized looking place in the world, but we know where everything is kept. We spend a lot of time testing things and writing down notes about our projects. The lighting in the complex is okay, but we have a few extra lamps at our desks for the detailed work. There’s a small tea stall downstairs that we go to twice a day to stretch our legs. It’s a good spot to catch a breath and talk. We don’t have a receptionist or a waiting lounge for visitors. If you walk in, you’ll just see us working. It suits us here at Ksg Automation Pvt. Ltd. because everything we need is nearby in the market. The floor is just plain tiles and the furniture is basic. It’s a working office, not a showroom. We just get through the list of tasks every day.
