Our place is at No. 6/3 on the 4th Cross of Lalbagh Road, right in the KS Garden area. If you have ever been down this way, you know the streets are narrow and usually full of people and carts. We have been in the pipe business for a good bit of time now. The warehouse is basically packed to the ceiling with all sorts of piping and fittings. It is a bit of a squeeze to get around sometimes, especially when a new shipment comes in and we have to stack everything up. We do not have a corporate feel at all. It is mostly just the sound of metal clanking and people checking off lists. The office is just a small corner with a few desks where we handle the billing and the phone calls. Lalbagh Road is always noisy, and we are right in the middle of that buzz. We get all kinds of people coming in, from local plumbers to contractors looking for specific sizes. We do not spend much time on decorations or making the place look pretty. It is a functional space for moving goods. Most days start early with coffee and end with the shutters coming down once the last order is loaded up. It is honest work, and we like being in this part of the city where everything is happening. You just have to watch where you step because of the inventory on the floor.
