Korishi

We set up Korishi in the 6th Phase of Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar. RT Nagar is a solid place to be. There are lots of families and long-time residents here. We aren't a big chain. It’s a family-run kind of operation. The kitchen is where most of the action is. We do things the way we were taught. No shortcuts, even if it takes longer. Sometimes customers have to wait a bit. We appreciate the patience. The dining area is pretty plain. We have some pictures on the walls, but that’s about it. We focus more on what’s in the pots. The smells from the kitchen usually drift out onto the street. That’s how most people find us. We don't do big advertisements. We just rely on the neighborhood. It’s been a few years now. We’ve seen kids grow up and come back with their own friends. That’s the best part of being in RT Nagar. The 6th Phase is a bit quieter than the main roads. We like the peace. Our staff is small. We all do a bit of everything—cleaning, cooking, taking orders. It’s a lot of work but it keeps us busy. We just want to serve decent food to the people nearby. There’s no dress code or fancy etiquette. Just come as you are. We’ll be in the back if you need us. Sometimes we run out of chairs, but we'll find you a stool.
