Working at Saas Software Pvt. Ltd. over here in Kormangla means you’re always around people. It’s one of those parts of town that never really sleeps. Our office isn’t one of those giant glass buildings you see in the tech parks. It’s a bit more tucked away, which I actually prefer. Inside, it’s pretty much what you’d expect—lots of monitors, cables running along the floor that people keep tripping over, and the constant sound of typing. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If someone knocks, whoever is closest to the door just gets up to answer it. The kitchen area is usually a mess because we go through a lot of coffee and nobody ever wants to wash the mugs right away. I spend my day looking at code and talking to the rest of the team about how to fix things that aren't working right. Kormangla has great food, so lunch is usually the time when we all head out to one of the nearby spots. The air conditioning is either too cold or not working at all, there’s no middle ground. It’s a bit chaotic and the furniture doesn’t match, but we get the work done. It feels more like a workshop than a corporate office, which suits us just fine. Sometimes we stay late because the internet is faster when everyone else goes home, but mostly we try to leave by seven.
