Muni Handloom

Muni Handloom is tucked away on 4th Cross in Koramangala. It’s a bit quieter on this street compared to the main roads nearby. I set this up because I’ve always had a thing for traditional weaving and fabrics. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the stacks of colorful cloth everywhere. It’s not a big showroom with bright lights; it’s more like a workshop where you can see the threads and the looms. I spend most of my days sorting through different materials or talking to the weavers. It’s slow work, nothing like the big factories. Sometimes it takes a long time to get a specific pattern right, and we have to start over. I don't mind, though, because I like the process. Neighbors often drop by just to see what new colors we have in stock. The floor is usually covered in little bits of thread and lint. I try to sweep it up, but it always comes back. We don't have a big marketing plan, we just put our things out and hope people like them. It’s a small operation, just me and a couple of others who know their way around a loom. We stay busy enough to keep the lights on. It’s a peaceful way to spend the day, surrounded by all that fabric. If you're ever in Koramangala, you can find us easily. It's just a simple shop.
