Dreams Cafe

You can find us at 34 1St Main Rd in the 1St Block of Koramangala. It’s a lively spot, though the parking can be a real headache some afternoons. The cafe isn't huge, but we’ve tucked in as many tables as we could without making it feel like a box. We spend our mornings grinding beans and wiping down the counters before the first rush. The steam wand on the espresso machine makes a specific clicking sound that we’ve just gotten used to over the years. Some days the kitchen gets really hot, and we have to keep the back door open to get a bit of a breeze. We see a lot of people coming in with their laptops, staying for hours, and we don't really mind as long as they don't mind the noise when we're blending things. The staff here is mostly local guys who know how everyone likes their sugar. We don’t have fancy uniforms, just some aprons that have seen better days. Every now and then, the power goes out, and we have to scramble for the backup, but that’s just part of being in this part of town. We try to keep things simple. If the coffee is hot and the seats are clean, we feel like we’ve done our bit for the day. It gets loud in the evenings when the crowd shows up, but we just keep pouring drinks and clearing away the empty plates.
