We’ve been based over here at 1872, 7Th A Main, E Block in Bangalore for quite a while now. Most days it’s just us handling calls about lifts that aren't working right or checking on the machinery in different buildings around Karnataka. It gets busy, especially with the traffic in the 560 010 area, but we try to get to everyone as quick as we can. Usually, someone is in the office if you need to drop by and talk about a project or some maintenance stuff. It’s not a fancy setup, just some desks and a lot of technical manuals and spare parts lying around. We spend a lot of time out on site rather than sitting behind a computer all day. If the lift in your apartment starts making that weird grinding noise or the doors won't shut, that's usually when we get a phone call. Dealing with elevators is mostly about looking at cables, oiling things, and checking sensors. It’s dirty work sometimes and your hands get greasy. People don't really think about elevators until they stop moving between floors. We just keep our tools ready in the back of the van and head out. Some days are longer than others when a specific part takes time to arrive from the warehouse. We just do the work and try to keep things running. It's what we do here in E Block. The weather can be a bit much lately but the work stays the same. Just a bunch of us keeping things moving up and down.
