Kohinoor Granite & Marble

We've been at the Manjunathanagar spot for a while now, tucked behind KSIT College off Kanakapura Road. It's a busy area but we like it here. Mostly, we deal with slabs of granite and different types of marble every day. The yard gets a bit dusty when we're moving things around, but that’s just how it is with stone. Usually, there's a couple of us here making sure the blocks are lined up right so people can actually see the patterns. If you come by 8th Cross, you'll see the R.S. Residency building and we are right there at 65/1. It’s not a fancy showroom or anything, just a place where the work gets done. Sometimes the weather makes moving the heavy stuff a bit of a pain, especially when it rains in Bangalore, but we manage. We spend a lot of time checking the edges and looking for cracks in the stone before anything goes out. It’s heavy work and keeps us on our feet all day. Some days are quieter than others. We get people coming in looking for kitchen tops or flooring, and we just show them what’s currently in the stack. There’s always some noise from the road, but we’re used to it. The tea stall nearby is where we usually take a break. It's just a regular local business trying to keep things moving. We’ve got a variety of colors in stock usually, depending on what came in on the last truck.
