Over at Athira House in Calicut, we run Knk Nexgen Construction Pvt Ltd. It’s a decent spot in Kerala, specifically in that 2/2066-A area. The rain can be a real pain for us sometimes. When it pours, everything on the site slows down, and we end up just waiting it out in the office. We do a lot of local building projects. Our team is small, just a bunch of people who know how to lay bricks and fix up structures. We’ve been at this address for a bit, and people in the neighborhood usually stop by if they need something small done. Calicut has a way of being both slow and busy at the same time. We spend most of our mornings looking at plans or talking to vendors about supply prices going up again. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just a workspace where we get things organized before heading out. Sometimes we grab tea nearby and talk about the next day's schedule. It isn't a glamorous life, but seeing a wall go up where there was nothing feels good. We just keep doing what we’re doing, one project at a time, making sure things don't fall apart. There is always a lot of dust around, but that is part of the trade. We just want to finish the work and get home to our families.
