K.Mohan & Company

Up on the first floor, in unit 2 of building 1197, is where we set up K.Mohan & Company. This is BTM 1st Stage, and if you’ve ever been here, you know how busy 2nd Cross and 20th Main can get. It’s a lively part of Bangalore-29. We aren't some big fancy corporation with a glass building. We’re just a regular company working out of a standard floor space. The stairs are a bit narrow, so carrying heavy things up can be a pain. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of folders. We’ve been here long enough that we know all the other shop owners on the street. It’s nice to have that local connection. We mostly deal with our own tasks and try not to get distracted by the noise from the traffic outside. The fans hum all day and we usually have a radio playing somewhere in the background. It feels like a real workplace, not a sterile office. We don't have a receptionist or anything; usually, whoever is closest to the door just looks up and says hi. We handle the business as it comes, one day at a time. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we have to wait, but that’s just how it goes. It’s a practical place for a practical business. We like the convenience of being in BTM because everything we need is right around the corner.
