Our office is over in Kasturi Nagar, specifically at No 79 on the first floor in B Channasandra. It’s very close to the bus stop, so we hear the buses pulling in and out all day long. This is where we handle all the facility management stuff. It’s mostly phone calls and scheduling people to go out to different sites across the city. The office isn't very big, but it serves us well for what we do. We have a couple of desks and a lot of files for the different buildings we look after. Most of the staff are out on the field, so it’s usually just a couple of us here keeping track of the schedules. In the mornings, it gets quite busy when the supervisors come in to pick up their assignments. We’ve been in this part of Bangalore for a bit now, and we know the local shops and where to get a quick lunch. The building itself is pretty standard, and being on the first floor means we don’t have to climb too many stairs. We deal with everything from cleaning issues to maintenance requests that come in throughout the day. It’s a lot of coordination, making sure everyone is where they are supposed to be. Sometimes things get a bit chaotic when there’s a sudden problem at one of the properties, but we just manage it as it comes. It's a practical job and we just keep at it.
