Our office is in the Slv Nilaya Apartment building, specifically at 4/1 over in 2 Ramanjeneya Chikkalasandra. It’s a bit different working out of an apartment building compared to a big office block, but it suits us just fine. It’s a lot quieter here, which helps when we’re trying to focus on the import and export details. We’ve converted a couple of rooms into workspace, so there are computers where a dining table might usually be. It’s a small operation, just a couple of us handling the day-to-day stuff. We spend a lot of time tracking shipments and talking to suppliers. Sometimes the neighbors wonder what all the boxes are about when we get a delivery. It can get a bit cluttered, especially when we have a lot of samples coming in at once. We don't have a big sign outside or anything like that. It’s just a practical way for us to run the business without all the overhead of a fancy downtown office. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, but we still get a lot done. Chikkalasandra is a decent area to be in, and being in an apartment makes it feel a bit more like home. We just keep things moving and try to make sure every shipment goes out without too much of a fuss. It's a simple life, and we are quite happy with how the little office in the apartment is working out for us.
