Kidwai Memorial Institute Of Oncology

This place is quite large and stays busy from very early in the morning. We are situated on Dr M H Marigowda Road, right near the Bangalore Dairy. It’s a well-known spot on Hosur Road. People travel from all over the state to get here, so the hallways are almost always full of families and patients waiting. We deal with cancer care, which is a heavy thing, but we just go about our work every day. The campus has different blocks for different treatments. You’ll see people sitting on the benches outside under the trees when the waiting rooms get too packed. It's an old institution. The walls have been painted many times. It’s not like those new private hospitals with glass walls. It feels like a government place, very functional and straightforward. Our staff stays on their feet for long shifts. Since we are near the dairy, the landmark is easy for everyone to find. Traffic around here can be a real mess during peak hours, especially with the buses coming through. We have a lot of history here. Many doctors have trained in these halls over the decades. It’s a place where a lot happens at once, and it can feel a bit overwhelming if it's your first time visiting. We just try to keep things moving as fast as we can for the people who really need it. The canteen area usually has a lot of people too. It’s a place of many stories. We see the same tea sellers outside every day.
