Kernmantle Studios

Kernmantle Studios is tucked away in Cooke Town at No.3, 34 Lloyd Road. We are in the Wheeler Road Extension area, which is actually one of the quieter parts of Bangalore. If you find Devis Road, we are just near there. It is an old neighborhood with a lot of character and big trees that drop leaves everywhere. The building we are in is simple and doesn’t stand out too much. Inside, it is where we do all our studio work. We have different rooms set up for different things. It is not a sterile environment; there is usually stuff leaning against the walls and chairs that have been moved around. We like the vibe of 560005 because it doesn't feel as frantic as the rest of the city. You can actually hear the birds sometimes in the morning. We have a small team and we have been at this address for a while. People usually find us by word of mouth or by looking for the Lloyd Road sign. We don't have big flashing lights or anything like that. It is just a practical space where we can focus. The layout of the place is a bit unusual, but it works for us. We spend most of our daylight hours here, just getting through the schedule and enjoying the quiet of Cooke Town.
