Kaushik Mukherjee Architects

Kaushik Mukherjee Architects is on the first floor of building 345 on Wheelers Road Extension. This is in the St. Thomas Town area. It’s a residential neighborhood that has seen more businesses moving in lately. Our office is above a small shop, so you have to walk up the stairs at the side. It’s a modest space, not very big, but it fits the few of us who work here. We have some large windows that look out onto the street, so we see the neighbors going about their day. St. Thomas Town has a nice vibe to it, less hectic than the city center. We keep a regular schedule, starting around nine or ten in the morning. The desks are usually piled high with site reports and sketches. We don't have a janitor or anything, so we take turns keeping the place tidy. There’s a small balcony where we keep some plants, though we often forget to water them. Most of our day is spent either on the phone or working on the computer. Sometimes we have clients come over, and we just clear a space on the main table for them to sit. It’s a relaxed atmosphere. We’ve been at this location for a couple of years now and it suits us fine. There is a small bakery nearby that we visit way too often for snacks. It’s just a normal office for normal people doing their work. We try not to overcomplicate things too much.
