KarnatakaState Highway Improvement Project

We operate out of an office on Krishnarajendra Road near Serpentine Road. This is where the KarnatakaState Highway Improvement Project team sits. It’s not a quiet place by any means. There are always maps being rolled out and people talking about various stretches of road that need work. We have a lot of files stacked up on the floor because the cabinets are full to the top. It’s a government-related setup, but we try to keep things moving as fast as we can. We spend a lot of time looking at data and reports. Sometimes we’re out on the site getting our boots muddy, and other times we’re stuck here in the office. The building is older, so the fans make a bit of a racket when they are on high. Serpentine Road is a bit of a maze if you don’t know it well. We’ve been at this for quite a while now. Roads are important for the city, and we see the impact every day. It’s a slow process sometimes, dealing with all the steps and approvals involved. We don't really have a public relations team. If someone has a question, they just come to the counter. We try to be helpful when we can. It’s a lot of coordination between different groups. Every day is a bit different. One day it’s a bridge, the next it’s a bypass. We just get through the pile on our desks.
