Karnataka Precision Industries

Our workshop is down on Kanakapura Road, specifically in the Nagpada 30 area. Karnataka Precision Industries started out quite small, and to be honest, it still feels that way most days. We deal with machines and parts that need to be exactly right. It’s noisy and there is always oil on the floor, no matter how much we scrub. We spend most of our time looking at blueprints or adjusting the lathes. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but it’s what we do. The 30 Nagpada spot is where we spend all our daylight hours. We aren't a corporate office with suits; we wear overalls that usually have stains on them. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we spend half the night trying to fix it so we don't fall behind. That’s just part of the job at Karnataka Precision Industries. We don't have a front desk or a receptionist. If you come by Kanakapura Road, you’ll probably find us in the back working. We take our measurements seriously because that’s the whole point of precision. It’s not always easy, especially when it’s humid and the metal gets tricky to handle. We’ve been here long enough that the neighbors don't mind the noise anymore. We just keep our heads down and get the parts out the door. It’s a practical business for people who need specific things made right.
