Karnataka Hybrid Micro Devices Ltd is located in Keonics Electronics City on Hosur Road. We are at Plot No. 103, right on the 4th Cross. Being in Bangalore, especially in Electronics City, you’d expect something very high-tech and sleek. But our place is more of a practical working environment. It’s a solid building that’s been tailored for what we do. The 4th Cross is a bit quieter than the main road, which is nice. You don’t get as much of the Hosur Road traffic noise here. Inside, we have to keep things quite organized because the components we handle are small and easy to lose. It’s a lot of sitting at benches under good lights. We have a small group of people here, and it’s a pretty friendly atmosphere. We don’t have a fancy cafeteria, but there’s a place nearby where we get our lunch most days. The commute is the hardest part of the job for most of us, especially with the way the traffic has become lately. Once we’re inside the gates, though, it’s just about getting the tasks done. We don’t have a mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just come in, do our shifts, and try to stay on top of the schedule. It’s a steady kind of life, and the building has become very familiar to us all over the years. We just keep the wheels turning.
