Kalpa Industries

Kalpa Industries is out here on the Mumbai Bangalore Highway, specifically at number 56 on Jaya Chamarajendra Road. It’s an industrial area, so it’s loud and there’s always some dust in the air. We do a lot of metal work and fabrication. The machines we use are old but they still run fine if you know how to talk to them. It’s not a clean office environment. There’s grease on the floor and the smell of cut metal is everywhere. We spend our days making parts and taking orders from other businesses. Sometimes the delivery trucks get stuck in the highway traffic, which throws our whole schedule off. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in the back with our sleeves rolled up. It’s hard work, and the heat from the machines makes the summers pretty tough. We’ve been at this location for years, and we’ve seen the highway grow much bigger. We just focus on getting the dimensions right and making sure the welding holds up. It’s a straightforward business. We make things, we sell them, and we try to keep the equipment from breaking down. It’s just us doing what we know how to do. We don't have fancy brochures or a sales team. If the work is good, people come back, and that has been enough for us so far.
