We are located in Jayanagar, specifically in the Rajshri building on 19th Cross. This part of Bangalore is nice, with a bit more character than some of the newer areas. Our Kajaria Ceramics Ltd space covers the I and III blocks. It’s where we handle the day-to-day operations for the ceramics business. The office is often cluttered with tile chips and brochures that have seen better days. We don't put on an act for anyone who walks in. We are just local workers trying to get the orders filled. Jayanagar is a bit crowded, so parking for the delivery trucks is always a puzzle we have to solve every morning. We spend a lot of time on the phone, coordinating with sites and making sure the right colors of tiles are being sent out. It’s easy to mix up shades if you aren't paying attention. The team here is small, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from moving boxes to filing receipts. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that people in this neighborhood know where we are. We keep things simple. If someone needs tiles for a kitchen or a bathroom, they come in, look at what’s on the shelves, and we give them the details. It’s a lot of lifting and a lot of counting, but it’s what we do here in this corner of Bangalore.
