Working out of the Embassy Centre on Race Course Road gives us a good vantage point of the city. We’re up on the second floor, right where Birla Collage Road intersects. It’s a busy area, so there’s always a stream of cars and people moving past our windows. The office itself is pretty standard for this part of town. We’ve got our desks arranged so we can see what everyone else is doing, which helps when things get hectic. It’s not a quiet place by any means, especially with the sounds of the road coming through. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t even notice the noise anymore. The building has a bit of a corporate name, but inside our space, it’s much more relaxed. We have piles of papers that need sorting and a few old chairs that we probably should have replaced years ago. Lunchtime is usually a quick affair, often eaten at our desks while we finish up some urgent task or chat about the weekend. We find that being centrally located makes things easier for everyone to get to work, even if the traffic is a nightmare during peak hours. It’s a place where we put our heads down and get the job done. There’s no fancy lobby or receptionist, just a door with our name on it and a group of people working hard inside every day.
