Our business, K R World, is located at 128 Lakshmana Rao Road in the Chickpet area. Anyone who has spent time in Chickpet knows exactly what it is like—the streets are narrow, it is always crowded, and there is a lot of energy everywhere. We have been here for a good while now, tucked in among all the other wholesalers and traders. We deal with a variety of goods that other local businesses need for their own shops. The shop is usually a bit of a mess with boxes stacked up or rolls of material leaning against the walls, but we have our own system and know where everything is. It is a family-run operation, and we have all put in a lot of long hours here over the years. We don't have a fancy storefront or air conditioning that stays on all day. It is just a normal Chickpet shop. People come to us because they know we have been around a long time and we don't try to overcharge. We talk to our customers like they are our neighbors, and many of them have become friends. Sometimes we just sit and have a cup of tea while waiting for the next delivery truck to fight its way through the traffic. Lakshmana Rao Road is always a bit chaotic, but that is just part of life here. We don't do any advertising; our place in the market is enough for us.
