K. P. Padmanabha & Associates Architects

Our office for K. P. Padmanabha & Associates Architects is located at 4C, Bharat Apartments. You can find us at 44/1, A & B Fair Field Layout on Race Course Road. It is an older building, so the walls have that specific smell of paper and stone that you only find in places like this. There is a lot of traffic on Race Course Road most of the time, which you can hear even from inside the apartments if the windows are open. We have a few drafting tables pushed up against the windows to get the best light during the afternoon. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and talk for a bit until the backup generator kicks in. It’s a small team here, and most of us have been working together for quite a few years now. We don't have a receptionist, so usually, whoever is closest to the door ends up answering it when someone knocks. The layout of the office is a bit cramped because we keep every single plan we have ever drawn. There are rolls of paper in the corners and stacked on top of the old metal cabinets. We drink a lot of coffee from the small place downstairs. It’s a practical workspace where we spend our hours sketching and checking measurements for various projects. We don’t go in for much decoration, mostly just the calendars and maybe a few photos. It’s just how we operate day to day.
