Jyothi Timbers & Plywood

Jyothi Timbers & Plywood sits at number 7 on the Nizampura Main Road in Vidyaranyapura. We have stacks of wood and sheets of plywood everywhere you look. It is a bit of a maze inside the shop sometimes. We started out with just a few types of wood and slowly added more as the local people asked for them. Most of our days are spent moving heavy boards and helping customers figure out what they actually need for their home projects. We don't have a shiny showroom or a team of professional designers. It is just us and the stock we have sitting in the back. The road outside is usually packed with cars and scooters, making it a bit loud. Sometimes it is hard to find a parking spot right in front of the shop. We know most of the carpenters in this area by their first names. They come in, grab what they need, and head back to their jobs. We try to keep the prices fair and the stock full so nobody leaves disappointed. It is a lot of physical work, especially when the weather gets really hot in the afternoon. We don't spend much time on the computer, we are usually out on the floor. If you come in looking for something specific, we probably have it hidden in a corner somewhere.
