Our little library is on Double Road in Indiranagar. It’s easy to miss if you aren't looking, but we’re right next to Figurine Fitness and across from Infitea. The location is pretty good for people who want to grab a book after a workout or while they’re out for tea. We have a lot of shelves packed into the space at No. 3168. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when we get new stock in. Most of our time is spent checking books in and out, or cleaning up the children’s section after a busy afternoon. It’s not a quiet, dusty library like you see in movies. It feels more like a community hub. We know a lot of the regulars by name and what they like to read. The computers sometimes give us trouble and the labels on the spines peel off, but we just fix them and move on. It’s a straightforward job. We don’t have any big corporate goals; we just want people to have something to read. Being on Double Road means it’s always loud outside, but once you step inside, it’s all about the books. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a while now and it’s nice to see the same faces coming back week after week.
