Junior Accountant

Down at DOOR NO.26 in Koramangala, you’ll find our little office. We go by the name Junior Accountant. It’s a very busy neighborhood with a lot of new startups, fancy cafes, and people rushing around, but our office stays quite plain and simple. We just focus on the basics of accounting and bookkeeping. There’s no big lobby, no leather sofas, or fancy furniture here. We have a few sturdy desks, some old filing cabinets that have seen better days, and a lot of blue pens that always seem to go missing when you need one. We help people who are feeling overwhelmed by their piles of receipts and monthly bank statements. It’s not very glamorous work, but it definitely needs doing. We spend our mornings sorting through heaps of papers and our afternoons entering all that data into the computer. Sometimes we have to stay late and order some food when it's the end of the financial year. Koramangala can be very noisy with all the traffic, but inside the office, it’s mostly just the sound of us clicking away on our keyboards or flipping through pages. We’ve grown very used to the hum of the city right outside our window. We aren't a big, cold corporation. We are just a few regular people who happen to be good with numbers. We don’t use much technical jargon. If something is wrong with a balance sheet, we just tell you plainly. It’s straightforward work. Most of our day is spent making sure the math adds up correctly.
