Our place is at O 1/ 11 in the Township, right here in Torangallu. It’s a part of the Jsw Steel Ltd setup in Karnataka, specifically under the P.O. Vidyanagar area. Living in the township means the line between work and home is pretty thin. You walk out your door and you’re basically at the office. It’s a convenient arrangement for keeping the plant running. The Bellary weather is famously hot and dry, and you can feel that grit in the air every day. Our office handles the local coordination and some of the administrative stuff that keeps the Karnataka operations moving. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of staring at spreadsheets and talking on the phone with the guys at the gate. We’ve got a small team here, and everyone knows what they’re supposed to do. We don't need a lot of instructions anymore. The building is standard township housing converted for our needs. It’s functional, with enough room for the files and a couple of desks. We focus on getting the daily tasks finished so we can head home, which is luckily just a few blocks away. It’s a steady rhythm that suits us fine. There aren't many surprises in this line of work, just the same steel and the same goal of keeping production on track. It’s just how life goes in Torangallu for us. We keep our tools ready and our records straight every single day.
