Our place is Johnson Lifts P Ltd and we are located in Old Washermenpet in Chennai. The address is 14/48 on Selva Vinayagar Koil Street. This is an old part of the city, and the streets are very tight. If you try to bring a big car down here, you might have some trouble. We are right in the middle of a very traditional neighborhood. There are shops and houses all packed together. Our office is a modest one, just a few rooms where we manage the lift work for this side of Tamil Nadu. It’s often humid and salty because we aren't too far from the coast. We’ve got a small team and we’ve been working out of this street for a good while. Most people who live around here know us by now. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. It’s just a workplace where we get things done. We spend a lot of time on our bikes or walking because it’s faster than driving in these lanes. The daily routine is pretty basic: we check the schedule, talk to the crews, and handle the paperwork. It’s not a glamorous job, but we like the area and the people. We just keep our heads down and do the work that’s expected of us from Monday to Saturday. It's a busy life in Old Washermenpet.
