Johnson Lifts & Escalators

We are located at Basavanagudi 12th Main Road 521/24. This part of town has a lot of history, and so do many of the buildings we work in. We handle both lifts and those moving stairs you see in smaller malls. Our days are pretty full. We start early, checking the schedule and seeing which sites need a routine check-up. Basavanagudi is a nice place to work, though the parking is always a struggle near our spot on 12th Main. We don't spend much time in the office; the real work happens in the pits and machine rooms. It gets quite dusty and loud, but you get used to it. We've seen all types of equipment, from the really old manual gate ones to the newer automatic ones. We just try to be honest about what needs doing. If a part can be repaired instead of replaced, we try that first. We aren't big on fancy titles or corporate meetings. We just want the elevators to run right. Sometimes the weather gets to the machinery, or a power surge knocks things out. We deal with it when it happens. Our guys are good at troubleshooting. They’ve seen just about every problem a lift can have over the years. We keep our spare parts organized as best as we can, though it’s a constant battle. It’s just a normal business trying to keep things moving. This is our life here.
