Our shop is located at 96 on 31st Cross in Jayanagar 7th Block. Jayanagar is a great neighborhood with all those wide roads and trees, though 31st Cross can get a little tight with parking sometimes. We have 'International' in the name, but we are really just a local silk business at heart. We have been here for quite some time, focusing on high-quality silk fabrics. The shop is filled with rolls and stacks of different silks in all sorts of colors. We spend a good part of the day helping people look through the materials. It takes time to pick the right silk, and we don't like to rush anyone. The lighting in the shop is kept bright so you can see the true color of the threads. Jayanagar 7th Block is a bit more residential and quiet compared to the 4th Block, which makes it a nice place to sit and work. We have our regulars who come in whenever there is a family event. Sometimes we just sit and talk to the people who walk in about the latest designs or how the industry is changing. It is a steady business. We keep the shop tidy, fold the fabrics back up, and wait for the next person to come through the door. It is a simple, honest way to spend the day in a nice part of Bangalore.
