Saniya Tailors

Saniya Tailors is a small shop tucked away in Jayanagar 1st Block East. We are on the 3rd Main and 6th Cross in Byrasandra. If you walk down the lane, you’ll hear the sound of sewing machines running almost all day long. It is a quiet residential area for the most part, so we try not to be too loud, but work is work. The shop is filled with rolls of fabric and bags of thread in every color you can think of. We have a couple of tailors who sit here and stitch through the afternoon. It’s a tight space but we have everything we need to get the sewing done right. Customers usually come in with their own ideas or a piece of cloth they bought elsewhere. We’ve been at this address for a good amount of time and the neighbors are all friendly with us. There’s a lot of chalk marks on the tables and bits of scrap fabric on the floor by evening. We clean it up and start over the next morning. It’s not a big factory, just a local spot where people bring their clothes for fixing or making something new. We don’t use any fancy computer systems, just measuring tapes and old-fashioned skill. Sometimes we get really busy before the festivals, and the whole shop looks like a mountain of clothes. It's a nice little place to spend the day working.
