Jainco Inks & Chemicals

We've been here at B-126 in the Dyavasandra Indl. Estate for a while now. Most days it’s just us dealing with the heat and the smell of solvents. Mahadevpura is busy, so getting trucks in and out is always a bit of a headache. We make different types of inks and chemicals for local printers. It’s not flashy work. You end up with ink under your fingernails and on your boots by the end of the shift. The shop floor is usually loud because of the mixers running. We try to keep things organized but in a place like this, things get dusty fast. Our neighbors in the estate are mostly doing metal work or small manufacturing, so it’s a working-class vibe around here. We just focus on getting the batches right. Sometimes the formulations need a lot of tweaking depending on what the customer wants. We don't have a big office with air conditioning or anything like that. Most of our time is spent back in the production area checking the drums and containers. It’s a lot of manual lifting and making sure the labels are on straight. If you come by, you’ll probably find someone drinking tea near the main gate. It's just a regular small business trying to keep up with the orders that come in. We’ve stayed in this spot because it’s close to where our workers live and the rent hasn’t gone up too much yet. It works for us.
