You can find J Nagesh Kumar & Company over in Chickpet, which is one of the busiest parts of town you could imagine. We are up on the third floor of the Garudachar Complex at number 234. Climbing those stairs every day is a bit of a workout, but it’s part of the job. Chickpet is always loud and full of people moving goods around, so our office feels like a little bit of an escape once you finally get inside. We have piles of papers everywhere, and the fans are always humming to keep the air moving. It’s not a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a place where we sit down and do what needs to be done. Most of the people around here have been in the complex for years, so we all know each other. We spend our time going through ledgers and talking on the phone. Sometimes the lift works, sometimes it doesn’t, so we just take it as it comes. It’s a lot of work keeping up with everything in such a fast-paced neighborhood, but we’ve got our own pace. Lunch is usually something quick from one of the local spots nearby. We aren’t looking to change much about how we work. We’ve been in this spot for quite a while, and it fits us just fine.
