Itc Limited, Tobacco Division

Our office is in the Gitanjali Icon building on Nagavara Palya Main Road. This is where a lot of the work for the Tobacco Division happens. It’s a bit more of a commercial setting compared to some of our other spots in the city. The building is number 312 and it’s fairly easy to find once you’re on the main road. The traffic in this part of Bangalore can be quite a mess, especially in the evenings when everyone is trying to get home. Inside, the office is usually buzzing with energy. We have several rows of desks and a lot of people moving around. We deal with a lot of supply chain stuff and market coordination here. It’s not the most glamorous work, but it’s essential for keeping things running smoothly. There’s always a stack of newspapers in the break room and a constant supply of tea to keep us going. We have some large maps on the walls to help us visualize the different routes and territories we manage. The windows look out over the street, so there’s always something to see, mostly cars and buses. It’s a busy, functional environment where we don't worry much about appearances. We just make sure the orders are processed and the logistics are sorted out. It gets pretty loud when everyone is on the phone at once, but we manage. We usually end the day by making sure the logs are updated and the lights are off.
